Fellow Hunters:
We are sending you this newsletter to thank you for entering our annual Big Buck Contest and forward you the results. We have donated $1000.00 to the Sydenham Conservation Fund to help bring back the Shallow Lake wildlife habitat. The balance of the money will be used for a much-needed generator for our club.
Ray Wardrop scored 154 racks this year. Thanks to Ray for his time and efforts. His efforts are greatly appreciated by our club.
The draw prizewinner was Don Eason from Tiverton. Don won the .308 Remington from Lake Huron Rod, Gun and Marine.
Dave Rivers of Sarnia took the winning buck with a score of 157 1/8”. Dave chose the crossbow from Watson’s Tackle House. Dave took this buck with black powder gun so he also won the black powder prize, the Wig Wam tent.
Second place went to Marty Gill from Tara. His buck scored 157” and Marty chose the CVA black powder rifle from Beckett’s Shooting Supplies.
Third place went to Wayne Fox of Meaford. His buck scored 156”. Wayne won the Traditions black powder rifle from G.A.D. Products. Wayne also won the skinning knife for the largest score taken with a bow.
All entries below the top 3 went into a hat for the hidden score prize. The winner was Mike Lutman. Mike’s deer scored 59 6/8”.
